When the holiday season starts, so does your new fitness journey! This 10-week series focuses on incorporating 30-minute HIIT-style workouts. You'll utilize and master full-body, functional movements to simultaneously build strength and improve aerobic capacity. Each session is a brand new workout, and you will have the chance to discover how these 15-20 minute workouts can be both effective and fun! Don't let the holiday season slow you down and give yourself the gift of HIIT-ing for the Holidays!

  • HIIT for the Holidays utilizes HIIT, or high-intensity interval training, which is composed of a work interval during which you perform near or at your maximum capacity and a rest interval during which you rest and recover.

  • You must be able to stand and perform continuous movements for up to forty minutes. You must also be able to perform exercises on the floor. Some movements may be considered high-impact (like jumping). Concerns with starting a new exercise program should be cleared first by your physician.

  • You will learn baseline movements and modifications for movements as needed, so that you can participate as completely as you like in each session. This series emphasizes using proper form over competitiveness.

  • While you do not have to participate in every training session, you will receive more benefit with the more sessions that you attend.

  • During the series will be using an assortment of equipment including resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, and bodyweight movements.


  • Two session times are available: Tuesday and Thursdays at 7:00am or Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30pm (you can only sign-up for one time slot)

  • Series runs from the week of November 11 through the week of January 27 (no sessions week of Thanksgiving and Christmas) at Yoga Melrose studio, for a total of 20 sessions

  • 25-35 minutes each session

  • Complimentary introductory session + fitness assessment: November 6th or 7th

  • Minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 6 participants (first come, first serve)
